The Whangārei Pride Festival is where queer hopes and dreams bloom!
The 3rd festival for those who “love it here” and “love it queer” will delight the heart and tantalize the senses throughout March 2025. Rainbow locals are buzzing! The Festival boasts a Whāngarei Pride Parade, “Love it Queer!” Gayla, and a bouquet of complementary events by and for our Whāngarei Rainbow Community and whānau.
ABOUT WHANGĀREI PROUD!
Whangārei PROUD grew out of a glorious and growing Rainbow social community in Te Tai Tokerau.
Seated in our unique location next to Whangarei-te-rerenga-parāroa under the gaze of Mount Manaia and Parihaka…...we PROUD-ly uphold our connections to mana whenua and our diverse ways of being authentic to ourselves and our tūpuna with events that celebrate our spectrum of expressions as gender and sexual minorities.
